You can read about this plane, read the figures about it's size....but until you see it in person you cannot imagine how HUGE it is.Howard Hughes had to be a genius!!!!!

WELCOME TO MY FLYING BLOG
I soloed on August 7, 1976. Not long after that I began talking about flying around the border of the lower states. I been dreaming about it for 32 years.
If all goes as planned I am going to get up one day very soon and say "THIS IS THE DAY".
I am not going to tell anyone, just go to the airport, get in 6446R and fly off into the wild blue yonder.
4 or 5 weeks later ......10,000 miles later.......many dollars later....wind up where I started....DREAM FULFILLED.
I will post daily on my blog...I hope you will visit often and enjoy my trip with me....

Hi Bob, What beautiful pics. The Lord has truly given us a wonderful place to live. The view from your plane is breathtaking. Also, it is thrilling to see you live your dream. Keep on going and we will keep on watching.
Hey Robert,I check out your blog nightly and am jealous, it sound like lots of fun. You probably gets lots of suggestions but here is one more. If it fits in to your route stop at the Douglas, AZ Municipal Airport(DGL). It is right on the Mexican border. When you takeoff on runway 21 or land on 03 you go right over the big homeland security farce(I mean fence) and the Mexican town of Agua Prieta. Very historic town and airport, there is a little aviation museum on the airport. Some acquaintances of mine, Robin and Henry Brekus (they are originally from ND) own and operate the historic Gadsden Hotel (beautiful old hotel built in the early 1900s). Hi Bob, I enjoyed talking to you at Creswell. Glad to see that you were able to "escape". We get a lot of new resident pilots by trapping them with our weather for 6 months! :)
I called in on Unicom when I left to tell you that it was opening up over Eugene but never got a response on the radio. Thanks for taking my Bellanca ad with you. Will have mixed feelings when it finally sells. Have a happy and safe journey. Larry L.
